Description

The Business Transformation Team identifies and leads transformational programs based on deep knowledge of customer needs to drive growth in existing markets, and/ or pave the way for entry into new industries, channels, or geographies within the Americas. The Segment Project Manager (SPM) ensures efficient and effective execution of strategic initiatives across key markets, especially in High Tech and Emerging Markets.

 

Responsibilities

Projects are highly diverse, so agility and solid ability to execute (deliver results) are vital for success:

  • Lead projects that drive sales and customer conversion for segment/s assigned: product, price, promotion, or channel development, with focus on digitalization and process automation
  • Streamline processes to gather market, competitor, and VOC research to inform and enhance commercial strategy
  • Develop/ coordinate market or product feasibility studies to evaluate go/no go decision to enter new markets, and make vs. buy decisions for new products or services (product localization, M&A, digital transformation initiatives)
  • Develop a new, emerging market segment including market research, strategy development, and commercial execution for new business development
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/ vendors for execution of projects
  • Develop detailed project plan to monitor and track progress, and communicate with appropriate functional teams, management, and customer contacts
  • Measure project performance and manage changes to the project scope, schedule and/ or costs using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks, and adjust plan as new constraints arise
  • Support Segment and BU Marketing initiatives, as assigned

Qualifications

  • Qualifications and Skills

    • Customer-centric – use VOC to evaluate and execute project priorities
    • Process-oriented – streamline processes to execute projects within scope, on time, on budget (Design thinker)
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking capabilities
    • Continuous improvement – extract insights/ trends from metrics and recommend actions (Strategic)
    • Continuous learner – open to feedback and growth, trains others for success
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and 6-10 years of position-related experience
    • Proven success in leading projects/ programs with a cross-functional team
    • Working knowledge of CRM (preferably Salesforce) and ERP systems
    • Working knowledge of marketing campaigns, analytics, and platforms (digital expertise preferred)

     

    Location

    • Hybrid preferably in Ann Arbor, MI; remote possible
