Description

NSK Canada is seeking a Jr. Business Analyst to apply analytical tools to drive improvements in pricing, inventory health, forecasting, and sales opportunity conversion. This position will identify and prioritize greatest opportunities to leverage NSK Americas data to drive business solutions. Collect and condition data from multiple sources and maintain databases. Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and automation. Analyze data to identify patterns, trends and develop hypotheses. Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to datasets. Build predictive forecasting models and monitor accuracy. Communicate findings and actionable insights to stakeholders
Support production planning by analyzing product demand and setting service level targets to achieve sales and inventory goals.

 

This position will work in a hybrid work model (2 days a week in office / 3 days WFH)

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes aftermarket demand and develops plans for North America on A&B items.
  • Support demand planning in Central and South America.
  • Sets service level targets for inventory.
  • Monitors and adjusts forecasts to targets.
  • Liaises with BCD functions for suggested ordering.
  • Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages, e.g. R, Python, SQL
  • Leads through curiosity and continuous improvements
  • Technical experience with Data Visualization Tools, e.g. Tableau, PowerBI

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems or a related field is desired
  • This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 1-2 years of position-related experience;preferably 2 to 4 years of position-related experience.
  • Excellent team-player with ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (e.g. regression, probability distributions, statistical tests) and experience with applications
  • A drive to learn new techniques and technologies as needed to achieve business goals
  • Demonstrated experience applying data science methods to real-world data problems
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, able to report and present findings
